Etymology:	A popular picture postcard exists that was taken from the beach looking up at this roller coaster's lift hill on the boardwalk. It is labeled "The Scenic Railway, Newport Beach, Newport R.I.". This is the roller coaster at Easton's Beach. It isn't known if Easton's Beach was previously called Newport Beach or if this was just another common name for the beach.
