| The exhibition was celebrating the opening of the Seikan Tunnel, a 53.85 km (33.46 mi) rail tunnel under the Tsugaru Strait connecting Aomori Hakodate. There were Expos on each end of the tunnel and the roller coaster was at the Hakodate location. |
