Etymology: The names of this roller coaster are often listed as Jack Rabbit and Giant Coaster.  A picture taken of the construction crew in front of the roller coaster in 1921 is titled "The Thriller".  A 1923 catalog from Miller and Baker Inc. uses the name "Jack Rabbit".  The "Jack Rabbit" name is probably the generic name Miller and Baker used for the ride, but was never the official name for it.
