History: Wet 'n Wild Emerald Pointe purchased the Shooting Star, dismantled it and transported it to the park in Greensboro, NC. The ride was never reconstructed and the Shooting Star was eventually sold as scrap wood.
  The trains from the Shooting Star were sold to Family Kingdom Amusement Park in Myrtle Beach, SC where they operate on the "Swamp Fox".
Facts: The Shooting Star had one red and one blue train.
