| Facts: | Oblong figure-8 coaster with 5 levels of track at its southern curve and 4 levels at its northern. There were 12 drops plus a couple of little dips near the end.
The height of this roller coaster is estimated at 65 feet -- making it one of the largest, if not the largest side friction roller coaster ever built.
The Mountain Speedway was in the process of being dismantled on April 19th, 1961 and was mentioned as being an area landmark for more than 50 years. |
