| | The history of the Meteor roller coaster is confusing. Owned by Ramagosa, it had been in storage for several years prior to arriving at Freedomland in 1963. It has been said it traveled the German Fair circuit and this would presumably be prior to arriving in the US. It was advertised by Wedemeyer at the end of 1957. An early announcement that it had been sold to Rainbow Gardens, McKeesport, is unconfirmed, and the 1963 article says it had been at Ramagosa's Sportland Pier in Wildwood, also unconfirmed. If so, it must have returned to Sportland after Freedom Land's demise. |
