| Press Release: | VAUGHAN, Ontario (June 15th, 2000) - Paramount Canada's Wonderland is set to celebrate its 20th year with the Eruption - a volcanic explosion! Wonder Mountain, considered dormant for 20 years, has been slowly building into a fiery rage of volcanic activity. Nightly, guests will feel and see Canada's only active volcano erupt into a magnificent explosion of fire, ash, lava and smoke.
"The Park's 20th anniversary represents a tremendous milestone and what better way to celebrate Wonderland's birthday than to blow the top off Wonder Mountain," says Barry Jones, executive vice president and general manager. Jones goes on to say "the Eruption is the biggest theatrical production in the Park's history." The pinnacle of the event will be a breath-taking explosion of fire swelling 250-feet in the air.
The Eruption will be a nightly event running from July 2nd through to September 4th, excluding Friday, July 14th, beginning at approximately 10 pm, weather permitting.
