| Location: | Playplace is/was located on the 3rd floor of the La Grande Mela shopping center. Today this whole 3rd floor is occupied by Playcenter and contains several sections including an arcade, theaters, bowling and a kiddie area with a few small rides called "Baby Area by Mirabilandia". The "Mirabilandia" is written the same way as the park in Savio, Emilia-Romagna Italy so some sort of connection there is assumed. While this Playcenter area is located in the same physical location as the Playplace park it isn't known how the two are/were related. It is possible the "Playplace" name was inaccurate from the start and this park was always called "Playcenter". It is also possible that Playcenter replaced the former "Playplace" and perhaps the timing of this coincides with the removal of the roller coaster. |
