Notizen: Currently this page contains only information from the second Steeplechase Park rebuilt after the first burned down in 1907.  Information on the first is still a work in progress.
One source also mentions a Zyklon and a Wildcat operating at this location.  This information hasn't been confirmed at this time.
Geschichte: After Steeplechase Park closed the Tilyou family sold the land to Fred C. Trump (Donald Trump's father) for 2.5 million dollars. Trump had wanted to build high-rise apartments on the land, but these plans fell through.  In 1967, Trump leased the land to Norman Kaufman who initially, used it as a parking lot.  Norman later added rides and turned it into a small park.  Trump then sold the land to the city of New York in 1981 for 4 million dollars.  Simultaneously, Kaufman relocated his park to a few blocks to the east.

The land remained vacant until KeySpan Park opened in 2001 -- a 6,500 seat minor league baseball stadium used by the Brooklyn Cyclones.

Today, the Parachute Jump is all that remains of Steeplechase Park.
