Terra Mítica and Paramount Parks, this afternoon signed a four year strategic agreement, renewable for four more years, consolidating the Benidorm Theme Park on a global basis as one of the most important reference points in leisure and tourism.
Present at the signing ceremony were Miguel Navarro, Managing Director of Terra Mítica, Jane Cooper, president of Paramount Parks, Luis Esteban, president of Terra Mítica and Johnny Taylor, Vice-president of Paramount Parks.
Miguel Navarro stated that paramount Parks will take over the operational side of Terra Mitica is security, sales and marketing, maintenance, shops, restaurants, the human resources and training departments. The American multinational will eventually become shareholders and will receive both a fixed sum of money and a variable amount dependent on financial performance.
Jane Cooper, President of Paramount Parks, said that "Terra Mítica is original in design and concept and is situated in a very competitive marketplace therefore, this agreement will lead to great possibilities for both parties in the future". Cooper also added that her company "wished to use the partnership to enter the European market"
