  Local real estate broker Leonard Hebert, purchased the 45-acre site from Shawmut Bank for $1 million. He announced plans to reopen the park at an estimated cost of $9 million. This included extensive renovation of the Comet. This renovation and reopening, never happened.
  Park president Jay Hoffman from East Greenwich,  Rhode Island purchased the park for 5 million USD and spend another 2.5 million USD on new rides and renovations.
  Norton Auctioneers of Michigan auctions off the park.
