Adventure Land

The wood fence around the paddle boat dock that was left for the 2008 season at Kennywood as a reminder of the movie Adventure Land filmed at the park in the fall of 2007 was recently removed. The park is now closed for the winter as we wait for another season of fun to begin. However, before Kennywood opens for the 2009 season you will be able to see the park on the big screen at a theater near you. Adventure Land's scheduled release date is March 27, 2009. In the meantime you can watch the trailer online by visiting Myspace.

Phantom's Revenge Re-Tracking

The rumors are true, the original Arrow track from the Steel Phantom that remained in place (From the top of the lift hill to the top of the second drop) during the transformation to the Phantom's Revenge will be replaced this off season. New track sections have already been arriving at the park, and work is set to begin soon. Stay tuned to Kennywood Connection this off season for all the details on the Phantom's Revenge re-tracking as well as everything else new for 2009!
