SANDUSKY, OHIO, November 22, 2008 - Jon and Kirk announced today that Cheezonastick.net will become exclusively a waterpark attraction beginning with the 2009 season. And by water park, we mean comedy website.
"After years of operation, we have decided it would be best to re-brand the site," said Jon Roost, owner and webmaster of Cheezonastick. "Visiting Cheezonastick was a great source of fun and information. That tradition will continue, but in a new and exciting way."
"Cheezonastick's podcast, CheezCast, has been recognized as one of the most humorous amusement-related podcasts in the nation," Roost said. "In our last season, we have invested approximately nothing to create and develop the premiere amusement industry podcast on the Internet, and we failed... miserably. Rather than an informative podcast, we had many trainwrecks, and that is what made the podcast worth listening to. Since its opening in late 2007, the podcast has been the site's highest rated attribute."
The webmasters of Cheezonastick have begun a new venture in the realm of amusement industry websites and podcasts. Attractions include a quirky, humorous take on industry news, community forums, and the podcast that is sure to make you laugh... and this time, it's meant to! The site will also have poolside cabanas available for rent at a daily rate. Ok, we lied about that last part.
Roost added, "Satire traditionally draws from a broader geographic market than fansites, and we believe Cheezonastick will continue to be successful in drawing visitors from all over the theme park fan-sphere."
Due to low demand and lack of interest, we were able to close Cedar Fair Village and Michigan's Roller Coast and concentrate solely on Cheezonastick. The site will re-open for operation on January 1, 2009.
