New Exciting Ride Designs

Vekoma Rides continues to move forward with new exciting ride designs. 

Besides the many projects in China, Europe and the USA, Vekoma Rides is extremely proud to announce that it will be building a signature attraction in one of the largest theme parks to open in Southeast Asia in 2010.

Details of the park and its large number of coasters and attractions will be announced by the park in the near future.

Suzhou Giant Wheel Park - Stingray opens 2009

Vekoma Rides Manufacturing is proud to announce the 2009 opening of the new flying coaster “Stingray .”
 
Installation of this new coaster will be completed by the end of this year and is scheduled to open spring of 2009 at the Suzhou Giant Wheel Park in China. The Stingray has many elements such as a vertical loop, an outside loop and a double horizontal loop as well as a 180 degree roll.  Riders will fly face-down, parallel to the track.
 
Passengers will not be tilted backwards in the station but tilting will take place on the lift, giving the riders a spectacular view over the park and this unique design with it's 4x2 seating configuration and ultra maneuverable train guarantees the ultimate flying sensation!

New Train Designs 4-Abreast Sit-Down and Suspended Trains

Vekoma Rides is proud to announce the addition of another high quality new train type to her already extensive collection of trains. 

These new high quality 4-abreast trains, are suitable for family and thrill mega coasters and available in sit-down and suspended configuration. 

The train is executed with a lap bar restraint and can be executed with an over-the-shoulder vest attached to the lap bar restraint depending on the type or ride and layout.  The over-the-shoulder vest offers a great sense of freedom with an unobstructed view!
 

Both train types are available up to 32 passengers per train (8 coaches 4 passengers per coach)  The renderings below show a preview of the trains to be installed on new projects coming in 2010!
