History: After Pirate's World closed Norman Kaufman, a amusement operator in Coney Island, purchased nine of the Steeplechase's horses for about $16,000.  Norman intended to rebuild the ride at his park, which was located on the site of the former Steeplechase Park.  This as well as an attempt to rebuild the ride on Long Island failed.  Norman later donated one of his nine horses to the Sideshows by the Seashore Museum.  The fate of the remaining seven horses is unknown.
