Location

Playland Park was located on the south end of Bitter Lake. The R. H. Thomson Junior High School was built on the west end of former park and a Gov-Mart store (which later became the Rite Aid strip mall) was built on the east side. Bitter Lake Park occupies what was the heart of the park.
This northern area of Seattle is also known as Shoreline

Notes

On the 22nd of August, 1953 about half the park was destroyed by fire. The coaster was damaged, but not a loss.  The park remained open for the remainder of the season.

In 1953 E. C. Phare was listed as one of the park's co-owners.
