Notes: The Texas Giant was closed for the 2010 season for a major refurbishment in which all the wooden track was replaced with a new prefabricated steel system -- turning this former wooden roller coaster into a steel hybrid roller coaster.  Some portions were reprofiled due to the dynamics of the ride changing.
  When the Texas Giant was a wooden roller coaster, the height was 143 feet with a 137 foot drop at 53 degrees and the track length was 4920 feet.  The ride time as 2 minutes reaching a top speed of 62 MPH.  All of these statistics would have changed when the ride was changed into a steel roller coaster.  As of this writing, the Six Flags website still lists the 4920 foot length statistic and mentions the height as "10 feet taller than the original".  It's assumed the drop also increased by about 10 feet which would add approximately 2 MPH to the top speed.
  The Texas Giant used 3 trains by the Philadelphia Toboggan Company prior to the refurbishment into a steel roller coaster.
