History

The park was operated by Marriott for the 1981 and 1982 seasons. During this time the park was fenced in and an admission was charged. The result was a drop in attendance and the loss of many concession-owned rides. In 1983 the park returned to ungated operation under management of the county.

Notes

Playland Park once had a ride called the "Jack and Jill" built by the Hanna Engineering Company of New York. This was a quite large attraction and has a roller coaster like structure. It was however more of a slide and not considered a roller coaster here.

Owner / Operator

Owned and operated by the Parks Departments of the Westchester County Government and managed by United Parks.
