| Van der Most Beheer was founded in 1987 by Dutch entrepreneur Hennie van der Most. Before establishing the company, Van der Most had already been active in a range of industries. Van der Most Beheer became the umbrella organization for his various businesses and subsidiaries, operating in multiple sectors. Among its activities, the company is involved in the amusement park industry, both in operating parks as well as in restoring and renovating second‑hand attractions through its subsidiary Solidum Revisie. |
| Van der Most started several amusement park projects, usually focused on repurposing old industrial buildings. These include a former potato flour factory (Speelstad Oranje), an old but never‑used nuclear power plant (Kernie's Familienpark), a former German naval base used for military training (Nordsee Spielstadt Wangerland) and an abandoned waste incineration facility (Rivoli Rotterdam). As of 2026, only Rivoli Rotterdam remains an active project of his. Speelstad Oranje is a closed park with an uncertain future, and the other projects had already been sold off earlier. |
