Notes

A small advert from the Edward A. Vettel & Son Company appears in the April 20th, 1940 issue of Billboard announcing the completion of their company's 61st coaster -- the Cyclone at Lakeside Park in Denver, Colorado.
On his obituary, Ed was referred as the "roller coaster king." It also said he designed more than 80 "thrill rides" in amusement parks the US and abroad. He was general superintendent of West View Park from 1906 until he died, supervising the construction of every ride at the park to that point. He had just turned 21 when he started at West View Park.
