| Between 1962 and 1964 the race track on Playland Park east side was removed and a building was built in its place. Today this houses the Harris County Community Service Department, It isn't know if this was the original occupant. The large wooden roller coaster used to stretch along the race track's northern edge and this section was removed, leaving only half the roller coaster standing. |
