Location

After the amusement rides were removed from Broad Ripple Park, it became a city park by the same name.

History

On June 26, 1908, a fire destroyed most of the park sparing only the bathhouses at the new pool.

Notes

The Broad Ripple Park carousel now operates at the Children's Museum of Indianapolis and the steam locomotive is now at the Indiana Transportation Museum in Noblesville, Indiana.

Owner / Operator

In 1905, the park was leased by William H. Labb and J. Fred Given.
In 1922, the park was sold to the Broad Ripple Amusement Association.

Operating schedule

References state this park operated until 1945. On May 18, 1945, the parks department of Indianapolis bought the park and quickly removed the rides. It seems likely the park never operated for the 1945 season.
