Billboard said nothing about the ride's opening, although it did name its ticket seller. Geiser was mentioned as the owner from 1926-1929 and as the former owner in 1934. |
In February, 1933 a fire in the Canals of Venice (formerly Tunnels of Love) substantially destroyed this, the park's original Virginia Reel. In April it had been condemned as unsafe by the Bureau of Buildings. A new Virginia Reel was built and was ready in time for the summer season. |
