A very dense rainforest surrounds the Orphan Rocker and it makes use of the natural terrain. The track consists of many heavily banked turns, one which is built on the edge of a 700 foot cliff.
The Orphan Rocker was built in 1988 by an Australian company. Problems discovered during testing keeping the ride from opening to the public. Since the 1990s several pieces of track were redesigned and replaced. In 2002 the wheel hubs were replaced. In February 2004 the ride was still being worked on. By 2017 some portions of the ride had been removed.
