The ride was planned for an opening on April 4th 2024 but this was cancelled because of delays in the technical approval/clearance by TÜV (German ride control/safety agency). During 2025 it also seemed that the restraints of the coaster only allowed the park to have guests ride from the age of 14 and a height of 160 cm (5.25ft). In July 2025, test rides showed that the wheels were subject to extreme wear and tear due to the design of the wheel bogies. This meant that the wheel bogies needed a redesign. The ride is now built but its future is unclear with several parties involved : Serengeti-Park, RES Rides AG and MSD Freizeittechnik (sub-contractor).
During 2024 the train was delivered but the first test rides didn't happen until August of that year. Again, the ride was pushed back to the next year.
After delays in 2022 as well as during the winter of 2023, construction started in the spring of 2023. The trackwork was finished in May of 2023. Delays in delivery of electrical parts and components made the park move the ride yet again to 2024.
Gozimba was planned to open in the 2022 as a world's first. The Air Loop type coaster from Swiss manufacturer RES Rides AG combines an inverted coaster with the ride movements of a ride like a Gerstlauer Amusement Rides GmbH Sky Fly. Riders have two handles to their disposal with which the can tilt two small side wings forwards or backwards. When done correctly, it makes the seat spin around it's own vertical axis. |
