History

Premier Parks bought the park and changed its name to Six Flags Mexico.

Pop Culture

The 1993 movie 'Free Willy' was shot at the park. The film led to actions from the public and animal‑protection organizations to pressure the park and Warner Brothers to release the whale Keiko back into the wild. Keiko was fully released in the summer of 2002 in the North Atlantic Ocean near Iceland.
