For the 2025 season, the trains for Goudurix were partially replaced. The chassis remained in place but the trains' bodywork and restraints were replaced by the current modern version supplied by Vekoma. |
The name "Goudurix" is based on "Goût du risque" meaning, "The taste of danger". Parc Astérix is based on the comic books about "Astérix the Gaul". In one of these comics Astérix met the Vikings who conquered Europe before the middle ages. In the comic, the Vikings didn't understand "fear" and came to France to experience fear. The sign at the ride's entrance displays a drawing of the Viking leader saying "Faites-moi peur!" meaning, "Scare me!". |
The music video for the song 'The Party' by Spanish dance music group 'Latino Party' (1989-1994) was filmed on and around Goudurix. |
