| Celebration City originally opened under the name Branson USA. The park was then purchased by the nearby park Silver Dollar City. Some rides were sold by Norton Auctioneers on 5/15/2002 while some rides were kept. Silver Dollar City transformed the park into the new Celebration City theme park and reopened in 2003. On 10/24/08 Herschend Family Entertainment (park owner) announced the park would close as scheduled for the 2008 season and not reopen for the 2009 season. |
