| Construction on Pleasure Island started in the 1980s by the R.K.F. Group P.L.C., who owned Pleasurewood Hills. The R.K.F. Group went into receivership (a type of bankruptcy) and construction ended. The unfinished park was purchased by Flamingo Land P.L.C. and finally opened in 1993. It was purchased by Melanie Wood in 2010. |
