The Rattlesnake closed mid summer 2016. Originally it was stated the ride was to be refurbished, but in early 2017 the park stated the Rattlesnake would be removed. On July 30th, 2017, the Rattlesnake was partially disassembled, but mostly still present. On February 20th, 2019 the park Tweeted "The Rattlesnake is back... but there's a twist :)"
The ride's iconic 6 foot tall rattlesnake, Sid the Snake, was auction off for £2,646. The winner was the E.E Grant and Son Ltd company from Great Yarmouth company who intends on placing it on their office block roof.
